Assistant Inspector Low-Voltage (NEN3140)

Position in the organization
The assistant inspector of electrical installations works supervised by the inspector of electrical installations and is led by the oversight responsible agent.

The function’s goal
The function’s goal is to support the execution of inspection on electrical installations. The output of these inspections will be reported to the oversight responsible agent in a standard format.

Tasks

  • Supporting the inspector when performing inspection on existing low-voltage installations in accordance with the standards of the NEN3140 and the NEN1010 inspection plan (visual, measurement, testing and thermo graphic);
  • Supporting the inspector when performing inspection of new low-voltage installations in accordance with NEN1010 part 6;
  • Preparation of reports based on prescribed documents.

Authorizations

  • Executing inspections under supervision of an inspector and an oversight responsible agent;
  • Reporting results of measurements in a standard checklist report;
  • Access to all information and registration in the context of inspection tasks (NEN3140).

Responsibilities

  • Support during execution of inspection tasks (NEN3140);
  • Registration of inspection results;
  • Mentioning of deviations or unsafe situations;
  • Contact person on location with customer;
  • Careful use of workbooks;
  • Initials the completed workbooks including checklists;
  • Hands all data to the inspector or oversight responsible agent.

Function-requirements

  • A sufficient completed MBO-elektrotechniek studies, level 2 or equal;
  • Current knowledge of NEN1010 and NEN3140;
  • A sufficient completed course on inspection techniques in low-voltages installations or willing to follow one;
  • A sufficient completed VCA course of willing to follow one;
  • In possession of a drivers license B.
