Inspector Low-Voltage NEN3140

Position in the organization
The inspector of electrical installations works independently of in a team under supervision of an oversight responsible agent.

The function’s goal
The function’s goal is to execute inspections on electrical installations. The output of these inspections will be reported to the oversight responsible agent in a standard format.

Tasks

  • Inspecting existing low-voltage installations in accordance with the standards of the NEN3140 and the NEN1010 inspection plan (visual, measurement, testing and thermo graphic);
  • Inspection of new low-voltage installations in accordance with NEN1010 part 6;
  • Preparation of reports based on prescribed documents;
  • Inspection of electrical working-tools in accordance with NEN3140.

Authorizations

  • Executing inspections under supervision of a oversight responsible agent;
  • Leadership to assistant inspectors on project location;
  • Reporting results of measurements in a standard checklist report;
  • Access to all information and registration in the context of inspection tasks (NEN3140).

Responsibilities

  • Executing inspection tasks (NEN3140);
  • Registration of inspection results;
  • Mentioning of deviations or unsafe situations;
  • Contact person on location with customer;
  • Careful use of workbooks;
  • Initials the completed workbooks including checklists;
  • Hands all data to the oversight responsible agent.

Function-requirements

  • A sufficient completed MBO-elektrotechniek studies, level 4 or equal;
  • Current knowledge of NEN1010 and NEN3140;
  • A sufficient completed course on inspection techniques in low-voltages installations or an experience of vive years as a independent electronic repairmen dealing with construction and maintenance of these installations;
  • Good lingual and writing skills.
